Victory Baptist Church

Our Past

Our church began in 1977 when a group of faithful people met in Al Jones' living room right here in Beavercreek, and started Victory Baptist Church. They quickly outgrew the house and found the old VFW building at the corner of Dayton-Xenia and Beaver Valley Roads. They met there from 1977 until 1980, when they were able to buy nearly twelve acres just up the hill on Beaver Valley Road. They built the first building and moved into it on June 8th, 1980. In 1991, the church sold almost eight acres to the township and "Victory Park" was born. It's now the home of Owen's Place, an accessible park.

Our founding pastor, Dr. Henry J. Geigle (guy-glee), remained at the helm until November 1996 when he retired and the church called Bro. William Keen, a year out of seminary and ready to lead. In 2002, the congregation paid off the mortgage from the original building and started a campaign to "Build On Bended Knee In 2003."

In early 2003, the church broke ground and built our Sunday School/Fellowship Hall addition. They paid off that mortgage in August 2020, celebrating over 40 years in the building at the church's 43rd anniversary service. The mortgage payment money and year end donations then paid off the church van loan in December 2020, freeing Victory from an over 40 year servitude to debt. (Proverbs 22:7)

We praise the Lord for all the dedication and hard work that has gone into the Victory Baptist Church over these many years. Click the button below to read about us today.
