Victory is a small independent fundamental Baptist (IFB) congregation with an old country church atmosphere. It's relaxed and informal and members are welcoming and friendly. In Baptist tradition, fellowship involving food is frequent.
Services are traditional, with powerful, old-time, Bible-based preaching and teaching. Most of our music is old traditional hymns sung by the congregation, and accompanied by piano and bass. A few of our members make up Unbroken, our church country gospel group, while others occasionally perform solos. In addition to the Sunday morning service, Victory holds Sunday and Wednesday evening services.
Many members attend the Adult Sunday School in our fellowship hall, where coffee is allowed and interaction abundant. Some prefer the Seniors' Sunday School in the sanctuary. We also have dedicated space for a youth group, as well as Sunday School rooms for children, adjacent to our fellowship hall and nursery. However, we currently have no youth and few children to use them.
Victory has a heart for Faith Promise Missions, currently supporting forty-three missionaries. We've also provided rolls of paper for the printing of KJV Bibles for missions.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV), The Great Commission
Our local outreach includes visitation of shut-ins and a small recycled clothing ministry. We have a church bus and a van, but our 20/20 vision of bus and addiction ministries was blindsided by the 2020 pandemic.
We conduct Baptism of the saved as requested and celebrate the Lord's Table (communion) when led to do so by the Holy Spirit. As in most Baptist churches, membership is approved by the congregation after profession of faith (baptism) or letter of transfer.
